Stephon Peters-Smith, (Born Jul 4, 1998) , in Port Of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago known professionally as Son of Mars, is a rapper, record producer and songwriter. Renowned for his high energy and 90s styled rhythms. Son of Mars initially began gaining underground recognition as an artist following the release of his song “Anakin” off his 2019 EP Son of Mars. His single “Watch Yourself” produced by Ricky Johnson reached over 100,000+ views on Spotify Music.

Mars began the pursuit of his profession in 2019 by being a piece of the FOG band which would later turn out to be the first management company that signed him. Mars discovered his passion for music in 2018 when he attended the University of Rochester. At the university he was able to pursue musical production, while furthering his interests in finance and entrepreneurship.

It was in 2019 that Mars began working for FOG Records in New York, New York. He became a networking source for the company and his music influence began spreading across West New York.  In July of 2021 Mars began working with 2 Chainz & Gucci Mane’s in-house Grammy nominated producer and engineer Jak Brown in Atlanta GA prepping for his next release. 

The following year, Son of Mars linked up with Multi-Platinum engineer Steve ‘RockStar’ Dickey and Grammy winning producer Don Cheegro in NYC to finalize his newest project. In 2022 Mars was able to headline his first North American Tour, which was featured on some big platforms like Iheart Radio, The Source, Flaunt Magazine. The 18 city tour helped Mars introduce himself in person to the fanbase that he had been building, and expand his reach into new territories across the US. 

In 2023 Mars began the year of collaboration. He started collaborating with Universities, brands, event managers, concert hosts, radio hosts, booking agents, promoters, and small venue owners to continue to promote his music and himself as a brand. The added exposure was able to put him in the room with a lot of well known industry figures and deemed effective as last year was his biggest year numerically. 

As 2024 builds our goal for Son Of Mars is to get him involved with a major Publishing/Record label/Distribution company that we can trust to develop and work with our artist. As the hype for his upcoming project Pandora’s Box Vol. 1 builds, we look forward to introducing ourselves to these companies.
